Walters will sit down with actresses Sandra Bullock and Mo'Nique, both nominated for Academy Awards. Bullock is up for best actress for "The Blind Side." Mo'Nique is nominated for best supporting actress for "Precious."
Walters says she believes both will win.
Walters is ending a 29-year-old tradition of talking to celebrities on Hollywood's biggest night by bidding farewell in her special on Sunday.
While the 80-year-old journalist is known for getting stars to open up and often tear up on camera, she says the celebrity interview has become less special in recent years and many stars are overexposed.
Walters isn't done with television. She'll continue to do the annual 10 most fascinating people special, co-host "The View" and do occasional pieces for ABC News.
Tiger Woods is another step closer to returning to pre-scandal life -- Wednesday night, Elin Nordegren and the kids spent the evening at their Isleworth mansion ... where Tiger has been living for the past few days.
Sources tell TMZ.com Elin and the kids arrived at the home Wednesday afternoon with a security team in tow -- and yesterday morning, the entire crew was still there.
The move could be permanent. After Elin arrived at the home Wednesday, a large truck showed up and workers began moving stuff into the house.
As for Tiger -- TMZ reports that he's been at the range all morning working on his game ... paying special attention to his putts.
The driver who accused supermodel Naomi Campbell of assaulting him said Thursday through his lawyer that he "got angry and overreacted" and regrets involving the police.
"This whole thing has been blown out of proportion and I apologize to Ms. Campbell for causing that to happen," driver Miodrag Mejdina said.
Mejdina told police Tuesday that Campbell hit him from behind and his head struck the steering wheel of the car, causing bruising under his right eye. He pulled over in midtown Manhattan and got out to speak to a traffic agent, who alerted police. Campbell was not at the scene when officers arrived, police said.
Police consulted with the Manhattan district attorney's office and issued a harassment report, which doesn't carry any penalty, because no officer witnessed what took place between the driver and Campbell. The 27-year-old Mejdina decided not to press charges.
Campbell, whose feisty temper has led to previous legal troubles, issued a statement saying she was pleased that Mejdina had apologized and that she wanted to move on.
Campbell, 39, has faced a series of lawsuits and criminal cases accusing her of attacking her household employees and two police officers at London's Heathrow Airport.
Dr. Drew Pinsky's accused stalker was arrested at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, Calif., Wednesday evening on a felony charge. Charles Pearson is said to have sent threatening Internet messages over several months to the Celebrity Rehab mastermind and his family and even showed up at a radio station affiliated with the doctor.
At the same time, Pinsky received notification that Pearson was suing him in small claims court.
Pinsky filed a police report regarding the 33-year-old on Monday.
A spokesman for the college tells Eonline.com that Pearson was not a student but that the Pasadena police alerted campus security that there was a possible suspect making criminal threats on a computer in the library. Pierce officials detained the suspect and the city cops came and made the official arrest. According to the college rep, Dr. Drew was not at the school and has no known association with it.
The Pasadena PD confirmed the arrest. Pearson is currently behind bars at the Pasadena Jail and being held for $150,000 bail.
Marie Osmond is gutting it out.
Ever the consummate pro, the entertainer is preparing for her return to the stage next Tuesday, the day after the family pays its final respects to her 18-year-old son, Michael Bryan.
She and brother Donny not only confirmed that they would be back at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino, but also announced a handful of new dates.
The five added shows, taking place between April 13 and 17, were "to accommodate guests who had tickets to recently canceled shows due to the personal tragedy in the Osmond family."
As for why Marie is so eager to return to the stage, manager Chip Lightman tells the Las Vegas Sun that the star finds the process "cathartic."
Burt Reynolds' manager says the actor has been released from a Florida hospital after a planned heart bypass operation.
Erik Kritzer said in a statement Wednesday that Reynolds had been scheduled for the operation for more than a month.
Kritzer said Reynolds went into the hospital on Monday and was discharged Tuesday.
Kritzer says the star of "Smokey and the Bandit," "Deliverance" and "Boogie Nights" told him that he has "a great motor with brand new pipes" and is "feeling great."
Last year, Reynolds spent time in a Florida rehab center after treatment for painkiller abuse following back surgery.
Reynolds is 74.
