Pitt's basketball team will be the No. 3 seed in the West region of the NCAA men's basketball tournament and will face Summit League champion Oakland (26-8) in the first round in Milwaukee Friday.

The Panthers (24-8) would face the winner of No. 6 Xavier vs. No. 11 Minnesota on Sunday in the second round.
