A former project manager for UPMC pleaded guilty on Monday to stealing $250,000 over a seven-year period.
Robert D. Wagner, 57, of Wexford, was ordered to serve one year probation. He already repaid the money.
According to prosecutors, Mr. Wagner diverted money using bogus invoices to cover the costs of contractors working on his personal residence from 1997 through 2004. He was arrested in 2006 after an internal investigation.
Mr. Wagner pleaded guilty to one count of theft by deception before Allegheny County Judge David R. Cashman.
