The trial of the woman accused of killing an FBI special agent almost two years ago has been continued until March.
Christina Korbe filed a motion to continue her trial - originally scheduled for Oct. 4 - arguing that she needed additional time to prepare for court.
U.S. District Judge Terrence F. McVerry on Tuesday set a new trial date for March 7.
Ms. Korbe is accused of shooting to death Special Agent Samuel Hicks on Nov. 19, 2008, as he attempted to serve a federal arrest warrant on her husband with a team of law enforcement officers.
Agent Hicks was the first one through the door and was struck by a single gunshot. Ms. Korbe, who claims the shooting was in self-defense, fired the round from upstairs.
As part of her defense, she claims that she thought someone was breaking into their Indiana Township home.
