Soldiers of Anthony Wayne's Fourth Sub-Legion of the United States will present "Legion Drill Day," a military re-enactment from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Woodville Plantation, 1375 Washington Pike, Collier.
The soldiers - troops who defended John Neville's Bower Hill mansion during the Whiskey Rebellion in 1794 - will practice the drills of Baron Von Steuben from 1794. The day will include tactical demonstrations, musket firing, marching and ceremonial drills.
Admission is $5, $3 for ages 6-12.
Woodville Plantation, the home of John and Presley Neville, is Western Pennsylvania's link to the late 18th century. Built in 1775, the living history museum interprets life during the period of 1780-1820, the Era of the New Republic.
Guided tours of the house are offered from 1 to 4 p.m. each Sunday.

Conrad Volz, assistant professor of environmental and occupational health at the Graduate School of Public Health, University of Pittsburgh, will be the opening speaker at 7 p.m. today for the Colloquia Series at Geneva College in Beaver Falls.
The free series, open to the public, encourages students and the community to evaluate the challenges of the world with wisdom and Christian principles.

Oct. 11-14, James Thwaites, pastor and author from Sydney, Australia, will speak on topics pertaining to the implications of a Hebraic worldview for life.
Nov. 11-12, Jean Twenge, author, professor and consultant, will discuss her work as a social psychologist at San Diego State University pertaining to trends among current high school and college students.
The national AARP/Walgreens Wellness Tour bus offering free healthcare screenings will stop from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Crafton United Presbyterian Church, 80 Bradford Ave., Crafton.
The bus will offer total cholesterol tests, blood pressure screening, bone density tests, glucose screenings, body mass index screening and waist circumference measurements.
The nationwide tour uses nine customized buses that travel 240,000 miles across 45 states, visiting more than 2,000 communities in 300 cities.
All services are free. No appointments are necessary.

A $4.3 million rehabilitation project will restrict Interstate 79 traffic starting Friday between the Crafton interchange (exit 60) in Kennedy and Robinson and the Neville Island Bridge.
Single-lane closures are in effect during road improvement projects this week along Route 22 in North Fayette.
The I-79 work will involve milling and resurfacing, repairs, bridge rehabilitation, guide rail and other improvements on more than four miles. The prime contractor is Lindy Paving Inc. of New Castle.
These weekday restrictions will occur through late November:
Single-lane traffic in both directions from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and possibly from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays;
15-minute traffic stoppages between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. weekdays in both directions for bridge work;
Single-lane traffic in both directions from 7 p.m. Fridays to 6 a.m. Mondays;
15-minute traffic stoppages in both directions for bridge work between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. weekends.

In North Fayette, single-lane restrictions will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the area of the bridge that carries Montour Church Road over Route 22 at the Tonidale Interchange. Crews are installing shielding as part of a $3.36 million project to replace the overpass.
Also on Route 22, one westbound lane will be closed at the Santiago/Noblestown interchange to allow crews to perform geotechnical research on the overhead Kelso Road bridge.
Habitat for Humanity of Beaver County will sponsor an orientation meeting for those who are applying to purchase a home at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church, 339 Jefferson St., Rochester.
The orientation is for homes to be rehabilitated or constructed in Beaver Falls, New Brighton and Ambridge. Families applying for housing must attend the meeting. No applications will be provided for those who do not attend.
The program is for individuals who want to own a home and whose income is between $13,150 and $50,000, depending on family size, but don't have enough income to obtain a conventional mortgage.
To qualify, participants must have a desire to partner with Habitat for Humanity of Beaver County, a need for housing and an income that will not qualify for a conventional mortgage.
In addition, a community information session will be a part of this meeting to solicit input concerning future development plans and site selections.
Funds and labor are donated by individuals, churches, corporations, businesses and other organizations.
Nearly 40 families have been placed in homes throughout Beaver County through the program.

Zelienople Road, Franklin - Shoulder cutting between Routes 65 and 588.
