Pitt football coach Paul Chryst has added San Francisco 49ers offensive assistant Bobby Engram to his staff as receivers coach, the university announced today. Engram's impending hiring was reported two weeks ago but could not be made official until the 49ers were eliminated from the NFL playoffs.

Engram was a three-time All-Big Ten selection at Penn State and played in the NFL for the Bears, Seahawks, Chiefs and Browns.
